Adventures to Big Bertha

Jared and I have been in NZ a total of 5 days now.  Thus far we have speculated that prostitution is legal (yes, we may be resorting to this if we run out of $$), there are a shit-ton of sheep, and dogs are not fixed.  We spent our first three nights at Centre Point Motel in Christchurch, NZ.  The owner, Jeff, helped us get acclimated and settled into the country.  Christchurch was recently destroyed due to the 2010 earthquakes and much of the city is in rehabilitation.  All of that aside, the city still has many beautiful features to offer.

Here are some pictures from our stay in Christchurch:

On day #4 in NZ, we picked up our camper van...which we quickly named Big Bertha.  Driving this gem has been beyond entertaining.  She has a slight stench of B.O. mixed with old people and sucks more gas than one can ever imagine.  That being said, Big Bertha has blessed us in many other ways.  As we spy these luxurious camper cans coasting down the highway, we remind ourselves that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.  I mean we did come to NZ for an adventure, right?

Take a good look at this last picture...that sweet smiling face of Jerbear.  He may not be has happy and go-lucky at the end of this shin-dig, considering you have to be a hobbit to fit in Big Bertha.

Wifi is more limited than expected but more blogs will be coming soon.  Sending some Kiwi love your way.
